With the FTI GROUP, Passolution was able to win Europe’s fourth largest tour operator as a partner. With regard to the EU Package Travel Directive, the young Cologne-based company is now working together with the renowned travel specialist from Munich. But this is about more than just fulfilling legal obligations.

The still very fresh cooperation between the two companies establishes a milestone in the development of the Cologne-based start-up Passolution, which has been operating in the market since the introduction of the new package travel directive last year. With the shipping company founded in 2008, which is also a renowned tour operator, Passolution has literally brought a big name on board and is now breaking new ground with a strong partner at its side.

The EU Package Travel Directive, which came into force on 01 July 2018, obliges tour operators to inform their customers about entry, passport and visa requirements in advance when they want to book a trip. However, travel agencies and tour operators using TourOne as a software provider can easily implement this legal innovation – thanks to an interface to Passolution.

We are very pleased to support our regional sports club TuS Untereschbach-Steinenbrück. The club from the Bergisches Land region, which has existed since 1910, promotes talents from young to old in football and tennis.
In the last few weeks, we have set up a great project in cooperation with the students of the IUBH International University of Applied Sciences Bad Honnef, Tourism Management & International Tourism Management course. Within the framework of a customer satisfaction survey and market analysis, the development of Passolution since 01.07.2018, but also our future ideas have been confirmed and we have gained new input for the next steps.
During the VIR Online Innovation Days from 25 to 26 June 2018, our concept convinced the jury of the VIR innovation competition, so that Passolution was chosen as the winner in the competition category of start-ups. Already during the pitch, the audience was impressed by the possibilities that our data service offers – and we are very pleased that we were ultimately able to inspire the expert jurors of this renowned competition for tourism innovation with our ideas.
